Channel NewsAsia Series: Thinking Big, Thinking Different
  13 Sep 2017, 8:00pm - 9:00pm

While the Singapore government has attempted to make ‘Every School a Good School’, not all schools have the same access to resources and opportunities (e.g. exchange programmes, internship opportunities etc.) and this affects attitude and abilities of students.

Clearly, it is unrealistic to expect all students to follow the same linear path in education and the workforce.

In Singapore, failure is perceived as a cultural taboo and the angel investor community in Singapore remains conservative – they think short term and are risk averse. Is this an accurate reflection of the mind-set of the society that is keen to encourage innovation?
