  • The fees above are inclusive of GST.
  • These fees are valid only for the 2018-19 Academic Year.
  • The Administrative Fee is non-refundable, and is to be paid 14 days after accepting the PEI-Student Contract.
  • Fees do not include summer programme fees or boarding fees outside of the academic year.

Refund Policy

Withdrawal due to non-delivery of course
SIM IA shall refund the entire Course Fees and Miscellaneous Fees already paid by the Student if:
  1. It does not commence the Course on the Course Commencement Date;
  2. It terminates the Course before the Course Commencement Date;
  3. It does not complete the Course by the Course Completion Date;
  4. It terminates the Course before the Course Completion Date;
  5. It has not ensured that the student meets the course entry or matriculation requirement as stated in Schedule A of the PEI-Student Contract within any stipulated timeline set by CPE; or
  6. The Student’s Pass application (exclude renewal of student’s pass) is rejected by Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA).
 Withdrawals due to other reasons (for qualification-based courses)
In the event that the students withdraw due to reasons other than those stated above, refund to students will be computed based on the table below.

  1. Application and Administrative fees for courses are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  2. Requests for refunds must be accompanied with an original fully completed hardcopy Student Request Form (downloadable here) and supported with relevant documentary proof, where applicable. In the case where the student or parent is not in Singapore, a scanned copy of the completed form, submitted using an email account recorded with SIM IA, may be accepted.
  3. Refunds (if any) will be processed not more than 7 working days from receipt of the student’s complete refund request.
  4. Refund requests that are received after 12.00 noon would be considered as submission on the next working day.
  5. For refund arising from a course-related request which requires approval from SIM PL, e.g. transfer of course or deferment application, the refund request will only be accepted and processed after the course-related request has been approved.

Course Transfer, Withdrawal and Deferment Policy

(effective 02 Jan 2018)

Students are to put up their request for course transfer, withdrawal and deferment via the relevant forms/platforms. For students who are below the age of 18, the supporting documents must include the parent’s/legal guardian’s written consent to the student’s request. SIM IA will acknowledge the students’ requests in 3 working days and advise students on the final outcome within a reasonable time frame (not more than 4 weeks).

Course Transfer and Deferment
  1. Approval for course transfer and deferment are granted on a case-by-case basis.
  2. Students are subject to meeting each individual course’s admission requirements as well as the conditions for which a course transfer or deferment will be granted as part of the consideration. Such conditions will be made available in the Student Handbook where applicable.
  3. A transfer fee may be applicable for some programmes.
  4. A fresh PEI-Student Contract will be executed between the Student and SIM PL when  a course transfer request has been approved or when the Student’s original student contract has expired at the point of student returning from his/her deferment.
  5. Students are deemed to have withdrawn from the original course when the application for course transfer is approved; the refund percentage as indicated in the refund table shall apply.
  6. International students who wish to transfer to another course offered by SIM PL will need to submit their Student’s Pass application to Immigration and Checkpoints Authority of Singapore (ICA) for approval.
  1. Transferring to another institution is deemed as a withdrawal from SIM PL. As such, for international students who transfer to another institution, their Student’s Pass will be cancelled and must be returned to SIM IA. Attendance record and other relevant documentation to facilitate the transfer will be provided upon request.

Fees include:

  • Student Pass application fee
  • Textbooks
  • Starter set of uniforms for new students
  • Starter set of stationery for new students
  • Lunch at SIM on school days
  • Medical examination
  • Medical and hospitalisation insurance
  • SIM IA Student ID card
  • TOEFL Junior test
  • Two-way bus between SIM and NYGBS on school days

Fees exclude:

  • Visa application fee
  • Cambridge IGCSE examination fees (GBP52.93 per subject offered)

Kindly note that all items included are non-optional and non-refundable.

SIM IA has in place a group medical insurance scheme for all its students. This medical insurance scheme will have a minimum coverage as follows:- an annual coverage limit of S$20,000 per student, covers up to B1 ward in government and restructured hospitals and provides for 24 hours coverage in Singapore and overseas (if student is involved in SIM IA-related activities) throughout the course duration. Some outpatient medical services also covered, with co-payment.

The Boarding Fee is inclusive of:

  • Accommodation in 2, 3 or 4-person rooms
    Breakfast and dinner on weekdays; all meals on weekends
  • Laundry
  • SIM IA’s Boarding Programme run by SIM IA staff, which includes academic and language support, enrichment activities and local field trips
  • Transportation by bus to and from the SIM campus

The Boarding Fee is not inclusive of:

  • Personal enrichment electives (i.e. piano lessons, language classes not offered as part of the academic programme)
  • Overseas trips
  • Boarding charges outside of the academic year

Boarding is not compulsory. For non-boarders, the student’s family needs to appoint a guardian that meets the school’s requirements and is living in a suitable homestay that meets the child’s social and emotional needs.

We encourage students to board wherever possible in order to experience the full range of programmes offered by SIM IA.

A Sibling Rate (10% discount on the Tuition Fee) is available for any new SIM IA student who is a sibling of a current SIM GE student.

Terms and conditions:

  •  Both the SIM IA and SIM GE students should show proof of sibling relationship, i.e. birth certificate with parents’ names.
  • The SIM GE student should produce his/her SIM Student Card.
  • The sibling rate is only applicable for the Tuition Fee, and not the Application, Administration or Boarding fees.
  • The sibling rate is valid for the first two years of the SIM IA student’s studies at SIM IA.


We accept the following modes of payment over the counter at SIM HQ (Blk A Level 2):

  • Cash, Cash Card and NETS
  • Credit Cards (Visa and MasterCard only)
  • Cheque (Cheques must be crossed and made payable to “Singapore Institute of Management Pte Ltd”. They should not be post-dated.)
  • Cashier/Money/Postal order

Please present your invoice for processing, and pay the exact amount shown on the invoice. Excess payments of S$5 or less will not be refunded.

We accept up to 4 different modes of payment combination. All payments are to be made in Singapore dollars.

Please retain your official receipt. An administrative fee of $5.35 (inclusive of 7% GST) will apply for each reprint request.

SIM PL adopts a compulsory Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) to protect the paid fees of both local and international students. The FPS serves to protect the student’s fees in the event that the PEI is unable to continue operations due to insolvency, and/or regulatory closure. In addition, the FPS protects the student if the PEI fails to pay penalties or return fees to the student arising from judgments made against it by the Singapore courts.

SIM PL has appointed Etiqa Insurance Pte. Ltd. and Lonpac Insurance Bhd as our FPS insurance providers. Under the FPS insurance scheme, students’ fees will be insured by the insurer pre-assigned by SIM PL. In case of events as stated above, students will be able to claim their paid fees from the respective FPS insurance provider.
