Our fees are as follows:

Note:

  • The fees above are inclusive of GST.
  • These fees are valid only for the 2018-19 Academic Year.
  • The Administrative Fee is non-refundable, and is to be paid 14 days after accepting the PEI-Student Contract.
  • Fees do not include summer programme fees or boarding fees outside of the academic year.

Refund Policy

(effective 08 April 2014)

Withdrawal due to non-delivery of course

SIM IA shall refund the entire Course Fees and Miscellaneous Fees already paid by the Student if:
  1. It does not commence the Course on the Course Commencement Date;
  2. It terminates the Course before the Course Commencement Date;
  3. It does not complete the Course by the Course Completion Date;
  4. It terminates the Course before the Course Completion Date;
  5. It has not ensured that the student meets the course entry or matriculation requirement as stated in Schedule A of the PEI-Student Contract within any stipulated timeline set by CPE; or
  6. The Student’s Pass application (exclude renewal of student’s pass) is rejected by Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA).

 Withdrawals due to other reasons

In the event that the students withdraw due to any reasons other than those stated above, refund to students will be an amount based on the table below.

Notes
  1. The application fee for courses is non-refundable and non-transferable.
  2. SIM IA staff will let you know what supporting documents are needed once you have formally requested for a refund after withdrawing from or changing course.
  3. Refunds (if any) will be processed within 7 working days under the following conditions:

Where transfer/withdrawal is initiated by student

a. Upon receipt of the completed Student Request Form (in hard copy) with relevant supporting documentary proof; and
b. The approval of requests by SIM IA.
Requests that are received after 12.00 noon would be considered as submission on the next working day.

Where withdrawal is initiated by SIM IA or due to visa permit rejection

a. The date of notification from SIM IA to students.

 Transfer/Withdrawal Policy

(effective 08 April 2014)
Students are to put up their request for change of programme (transfer)/withdrawal via the appropriate forms. SIM IA will acknowledge the students’ requests in 3 working days and advise students on the final outcome within a reasonable time frame (not more than 4 weeks).
Notes

Change of Programme (Transfer)

  1. Approval for change of programme will be granted on a case-by-case basis and subject to each individual meeting the course admission requirements.
  2. A transfer fee may be applicable for some programmes.
  3. A fresh PEI-Student Contract shall be executed between the Student and SIM PL when the change of programme request has been approved.
  4. Students are deemed to have withdrawn from the original programme when the application for change of programme is approved; the refund percentage as indicated in the refund table shall apply.
  5. International students who wish to change to another programme offered by SIM PL will need to submit their Student’s Pass application to Immigration and Checkpoints Authority of Singapore (ICA) for approval.

Withdrawal

  1. Transferring to another institution is deemed as a withdrawal from SIM PL. As such, for international students who transfer to another institution, their International Student’s Pass will be cancelled. These students will have to submit photocopies of their Passport and International Student’s Pass at the SIM IA office within 3 working days of the transfer. Attendance record and other relevant documentation to facilitate the transfer will be provided upon request.

A Sibling Rate (10% discount on the Tuition Fee) is available for any new SIM IA student who is a sibling of a current SIM GE or IA student.

Terms and conditions:

  •  Both the SIM IA and SIM GE students should show proof of sibling relationship, i.e. birth certificate with parents’ names.
  • The SIM GE student should produce his/her SIM Student Card.
  • The sibling rate is only applicable for the Tuition Fee, and not the Application, Boarding or Enrolment fees.
  • The sibling rate is valid for the first two years of the SIM IA student’s studies at SIM IA.

 

The Enrolment Fee is inclusive of:

  • The Student Pass application fee
  • SIM IA Student ID card
  • A standard set of textbooks and worksheets
  • A standard set of uniforms
  • A standard set of stationery
  • TOEFL Junior test
  • Daily recess and lunch on school days
  • Medical insurance

The Enrolment Fee is not inclusive of:

  • Cambridge IGCSE examination fees (GBP52.93 per subject offered)
  • Health check fee
  • Visa application fee

The Boarding Fee is inclusive of:

  • Accommodation in 2, 3 or 4-person rooms
    Breakfast and dinner on weekdays; all meals on weekends
  • Laundry
  • SIM IA’s Boarding Programme run by SIM IA staff, which includes academic and language support, enrichment activities and local field trips
  • Transportation by bus to and from the SIM campus

The Boarding Fee is not inclusive of:

  • A one-time deposit of SGD1,000
  • Personal enrichment electives (i.e. piano lessons, language classes not offered as part of the academic programme)
  • Overseas trips
  • Boarding charges outside of the academic year

Boarding is not compulsory. For non-boarders, the student’s family needs to appoint a guardian that meets the school’s requirements and is living in a suitable homestay that meets the child’s social and emotional needs.

We encourage students to board wherever possible in order to experience the full range of programmes offered by SIM IA.

As required by the Committee for Private Education (CPE), SIM PL has in place a group medical insurance scheme for all its students. This medical insurance scheme will have a minimum coverage as follows:- an annual coverage limit of S$20,000 per student, covers up to B2 ward in government and restructured hospitals and provides for 24 hours coverage in Singapore and overseas (if student is involved in SIM PL-related activities) throughout the course duration.

We accept the following modes of payment over the counter at SIM HQ (Blk A Level 2):

  • Cash, Cash Card and NETS
  • Credit Cards (Visa and MasterCard only)
  • Cheque (Cheques must be crossed and made payable to “Singapore Institute of Management Pte Ltd”. They should not be post-dated.)
  • Cashier/Money/Postal order

We accept up to 4 different modes of payment combination. All payments are to be made in Singapore dollars.

Please retain your official receipt. An administrative fee of $5.35 (inclusive of 7% GST) will apply for each reprint request.
